Caldarola is a territory of castels, there are five in the surroundings, but Pallotta
Castle is the most famous: from the top of the hill, it overlooks the little town,
and the overall wiew remainds a fairy atmosphere.
It was built at the second half of 9th century but in the 16th was radically
modifying when Cardinal Evangelista Pallotta wanted turn it to become his magnificent
and harmonious country house for his renaissance summer holidays.
The ancient building still keeps undamaged his ancient tack, Guelph battlement,
patrol path, drawbridge, cabs and saddleries and weapons halls, artworks on canvas
and wooden board, sculptures, frescos and furniture.
